Description
The Acoustic Cloud is a sound-absorbing panel designed for ceilings and walls, helping to improve acoustics in classrooms, sensory rooms and other shared spaces. Its soft cloud shape adds a playful, child-friendly design element while delivering high acoustic performance.
Teaching and learning place high demands on acoustics. Research shows that poor sound conditions in classrooms can significantly affect children’s ability to learn. In severe cases, pupils may miss up to 70% of what is being said, making it difficult to understand lessons and stay focused. Good acoustics are essential for both teachers and students, supporting concentration while helping to reduce fatigue, headaches and other stress-related health issues.
Recommended coverage: approximately one third of the floor area
RT60 (reverberation time): the time it takes for sound levels to decrease by 60 dB
Comfortable reverberation time: between 0.3 and 0.6 seconds
In areas where sound is most active, such as above shared dining tables or play areas
On walls near TVs or audio sources
For reducing high-frequency noise (such as crying) in bedrooms, panels can be suspended from the ceiling for maximum effect
